“The best life for a writer is the life which helps him write the best books he can.”— Julian Barnes Related Quotes “If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing.”— Marc Chagall “People ask me how to start writing. I tell them that ‘Creating Creates Creativity’. Put your notes and outline aside. Start with one anecdote or conversation, and that will lead to another and another. It’s the steps, the path, not the final destination that drives the process or writing.”— Dick Sederquist “Do what you love to do, and do it with both seriousness and lightness. At least then you will know that you have tried and that–whatever the outcome–you have traveled a noble path.”— Elizabeth Gilbert
